What are your plans for Christmas?
Christmas in 2022 is approaching. What plans do you have for Christmas? As Christmas falls on Sunday this year, our Sunday Service will become the Christmas Service. The main focus for Christmas is Jesus, who came to this earth in flesh to save us. I hope you put worship first this Christmas Sunday and we can celebrate together with all the congregation.
It would be nice for the house churches to have a Christmas event on the Friday or Saturday before Christmas Sunday. There are already many house churches and villages who are planning to unite and hold a VIP invitation party or exchange gifts at Christmas, and the All Nations congregation (ANW) are uniting to prepare a gift exchange event and inviting VIPs they have been praying for this Christmas Eve.
On Christmas Sunday, after the 1st and 2nd services, the singles community are uniting to serve in a sausage sizzle. There is a talent party for the children, and after Christmas Sunday service, the Love and Support ministry will be accompanying the seniors on an outdoor picnic to Clark Point Park.
This Christmas, I thought it would be nice to send the offerings from the Christmas Sunday service to those in need. Not long ago, I met a pastor from Myanmar at a conference. In Myanmar, many people died during a military coup and many people became refugees. In particular, it is said that Christians are suffering a lot of abuse and are experiencing extreme difficulties. The pastor asked for basic food items such as rice, oil and salt to be sent to Christians and refugees in Myanmar. So, this Christmas I thought it would be nice to deliver the Christmas offering to those who desperately need help, such as Myanmar refugees and Ukrainians suffering from cold and hunger in the midst of war.
When you make a donation of love, if you designate an individual or group, we will deliver it to the individual or group as requested. However, if it is not specified, we will send it to the people of Myanmar and Ukraine. Those who want to make a Christmas offering of love can do so using a Christmas offering envelope and for those looking to send the offering online, please use the offering code 7 in the offering details.
