Special Dawn Prayer Service: Prayer that saves, 5.30am (22nd March – 3rd April)
In the midst of the COVID crisis, our church was able to stand firm through our 40 mokjangs. Despite this, there are areas we have become weaker in since we have not been able to gather together, and it’s our corporate service and prayer. Evil spirits will attack us through this weakness and cause us to fall. If our spirituality has so far been scattered, left to fend on our own, now is the time for us to become one in prayer. We would have experienced trying to pray at home but failing. Many will also find praying difficult after not having prayed for so long. Some may not be praying at all. We pray because God’s grace is crucial in our lives and we cannot live without his help.
So in light of Easter week, we will conduct a two week special dawn prayer service starting this week, with the topic “Prayer that saves” (John 11:40-44). This will commence at 5.30am every morning and 6am on Saturdays. I hope that through the special dawn prayer service we can restore our prayers and develop a habit of praying. And this will be an opportunity for those who do not know how to pray to watch and learn.
When we pray gathered together rather than alone, we will experience a greater grace. So I hope we can all try our best to come to church to pray. For those who wish to come but are unable to due to work hours or children, we will make the service available via Youtube. Please participate in the prayer service by waking up at the same time as the service.
Getting up at dawn to pray is not as easy as we think. Those willing to pray will find a way and those without a reason to pray will look for a reason to not pray.
I hope that as we pray with one accord during the special dawn prayer service, evil spirits will be driven away, your spirits will live, and our families, mokjangs and the church will live.
