How do we save lost souls through our mokjang? I have summarised pastor Choi Younggi's 'How to evangelise in mokjangs' over two weeks.
First of all, we need a VIP list. Without a VIP list or prayer, if our VIPs come to a mokjang gathering, there may be mokjang members who do not want them there or become jealous. And when the VIPs settle in their mokjang and receive salvation, only the mokja and moknyo may find joy in this. Hence a VIP list that is shared between the whole mokjang is important. Each mokjang member writes down five people around them and this is then reduced down to five total as the mokjang's VIPs. Who becomes a VIP is based on the questions, "Who needs God the most", "Who needs the help of a mokjang the most". When we select VIPs based on who the mokjang needs or whom I need the most, it can take a much longer time before they come to the mokjang gathering. We need to look for those who really need God's and mokjang's help. Having a VIP list of five people will set the direction for the mokjang and also give it motivation.
Second, we must pray for the five VIPs every mokjang gathering. Regardless of how hard we try to persuade our VIPs, most won't budge. Salvation takes place not by logic but only if the Father draws them (John 6:44). When we have a VIP list and pray and serve them together, God will draw their souls and allow salvation. We must pray specific prayers for VIPs. For example, "Please let them be thirsty for you," or "Please let me meet them", or "Please let them come to our mokjang gathering". Rather than praying the same prayer repeatedly, pray prayers that are specific to their situations and in stages. Once a VIP accepts Jesus, this person is removed from the VIP list and another person must replace them, so mokjangs always have five VIPs. When you pray for VIPs above anything else during Wednesday prayer service or dawn service, and in your own personal prayer time, God will surely send souls to you.
This week's message
Please dedicate yourselves to ministries in the joint Sunday service. You may apply to join the worship team to sing or to play an instrument, the media team to do subtitles and audio, and in the second service, apply to serve in the newcomers' team. Anyone interested can complete an application form and apply through their mokja.
