We are appointing our very first mokja for children’s mokjang. When we have good child mokjas, we will have many mokjangs actively running, and it will bring many benefits in training our children. Below are guidelines we have set for appointing child mokjas and it will continue to be updated.
Conditions for becoming a child mokja: They must be in Year 3 and up and must be capable of being a leader. They must also be a child of registered members of the church and have been nominated by an adult mokja. They will be expected to participate in children’s life classes and Living Life, Life of a Mokja, and Changed Life are due to open.
A child mokja is officially appointed once they complete children’s life classes. Mokjas appointed prior will be acting mokjas who are in the process of becoming an official child mokja. Acting mokjas are given Bible activity materials and a toolbox (with stationary) which are required to lead a mokjang. When child mokjas move up to high school, preliminary mokjas will then take over their roles as acting/official mokjas.
Appointment ceremony for child mokjas: Child mokjas will be appointed during our united service. For acting mokjas, they will only be given an acting leader certificate to avoid creating competition for children who have been appointed without proper training (life classes).
Mentors for child mokjas: Child mokjas need a mentor to help them run a mokjang and the mentor must be an adult who can guide them in their role. The mentor is selected by the mokja.
Child mokja meeting: Child mokjas will have a mokja meeting once a month (on Sundays).
This week’s message
We are planning to build a playground in front of our Granville church to provide a safe place for our children to play in. We await your talent donations or offerings to support the project.
