Merry Christmas!
I pray that God will bless everyone in their families, ministries and workplaces in the new year.
In order to inform you about the management of the church, I’d like to briefly share the decisions we made at our last management meeting in regards to ‘church management and ministries regulations’.
First of all, the steering committee is comprised of the head pastor, elders and ordained deacons. The committee is supported by an executive committee and a select committee. A member of the steering committee will run the executive committee for two years and hand over the role to the next member. The steering committee makes decisions on the overall running of the church in accordance with our vision to ‘save lost souls and make disciples of them’.
Secondly, the ministry team is comprised of a ministry head and a team head. The ministry head is nominated by the steering committee and approved by mokjas. The ministry head had a term limit of two years and the team head can be reappointed.
The purpose of the ministry team is to oversee the overall ministries that take place in the church and also to support mokjangs and help the church grow. The ministry head supports team heads to build their own teams of ministries. The ministry team must follow a manual so that the next leader can take over and have a smooth transition of roles. The team can also share ideas and discussions through a mobile chatroom.
Sydney Crystal Church is built on our congregation’s dedication. Once you become an official member of the church, it’s advised that you become involved in at least one ministry which will help you become more attached to the church by having a sense of belonging and your life as a Christian will also become more exciting and meaningful.
Our 2018 Ministry Commitment week will be the second Sunday in January.
I’d like to thank everyone for their commitment and dedication in church management, ministries and mokjangs in the past year.
