There are three weeks to go till the 463rd house church seminar hosted by our church. There is a lot to do leading up to the event, but the most important of all is to pray. When doing ministry or holding events, without prayer, we can easily experience disappointments and face trials brought on by Satan. And even after the event, we may be tempted to brag about our achievements rather than honoring God and giving him the credit. In all of God’s works, He needs to be exalted. Many of us are already eagerly praying for the upcoming event, but we would also like the church to unite and participate in a special dawn prayer service and fasting prayer relay.
The first day of the fasting relay will commence tomorrow at the special dawn prayer (4/9-9/9). Mokjangs will take turns in preparing a light breakfast for those going straight to work afterwards.
Participating in the fasting prayer relay can be done as below:
1. the relay will run from Monday, 4/9 – Thursday, 21/9
2. after the Sunday service, please fill out the ‘fasting prayer application form’ by checking off the time you wish to fast, and place the form in the prayer box
3. as you fast one meal a day, pray for at least 15 minutes
The prayer topics are as follows:
1. for God to fill Pastor Song with the Holy Spirit so he can deliver the message effectively
2. for the smooth running of the seminar, and for all participants and those serving at the event to not face any difficulties
3. for the five people who will be sharing their testimonials to prepare touching testimonials
4. for many to make a commitment to Jesus through the seminar and to bear much fruit
5. for the Sunday joint service to be well-prepared and be filled with God’s grace
6. for the participants to return to their churches and work on establishing house churches
7. for each and every mokjang to be able to give testimonials of how God touched them after the seminar
I pray that we can all prepare for the seminar in prayer and that it will be an opportunity to glorify God
