Construction of the education centre and the safety of our children
The steering committee discussed and decided on two items this week.
First is the construction of the education centre and expansion of the restrooms in Granville as there is a need for both at our church. The education centre will be constructed by extending the rear of the main hall and the container room that has been used as the Sunday school room for preschoolers will be relocated to the back of the tent. The expansion of the restrooms will commence once the education centre is completed.
Secondly, our discussion was regarding parking and the safety of the children. Last week, there was a near miss at the car park involving a child. Our children’s safety in the car park is always of concern with the space being very small. After service, parents are responsible for the safety of the children, and I urge you to ensure that they are not left unattended especially in the car park. I would also like to suggest parking outside the church in the morning, and leaving the church parking spaces for those who really need it. If you are leaving early after the morning service, please park outside the church for the sake of our children’s safety. Once the car park is full, we will notify everyone by displaying a sign.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during the construction and with regards to our children’s safety.
