Happiness Plus for Singles
Among
the many stories in the Bible, there are certain cities people remember
well—Sodom and Gomorrah. These cities were ultimately judged by God because of
their sexual immorality, violence, and overall moral corruption. The scene
where Abraham earnestly intercedes, pleading for even a few righteous people
within the city, still resonates deeply with us today.
However,
this picture of moral collapse is not just a story from the past. The world we
live in today is not much different. With the yearly increase in various sexual
crimes, the rapid spread of sexual industries and distorted cultures, and the
decline of ethical values, it seems as though the safe spaces that protect our
singles are becoming fewer and fewer.
In
such a time, I have been thinking about what our church can do. And I came to
believe that we must protect our singles together. It is the responsibility of
the church to teach and guide them not according to the world’s distorted view
of sexuality but according to the love, relationships, and marriage that God
delights in.
For this reason, our church has prepared the ‘“Happiness
Plus” Seminar for Singles’ with the theme “From Happy Dating to
Marriage.”
Through this seminar, we hope to
help our singles learn and practice healthy love, holy relationships, and the
true purpose of marriage—even in a confusing and morally shaken generation.
This is not just another program; it is an essential process of building a spiritual
shield that protects the souls of our singles.
This
Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Telopea Church, about 50 people—including
participants and staff—will be joining the seminar. Please pray that it will be
a grace-filled time where they learn and discover what true happiness in the
Lord really is.
Your
prayers and care will become a strong support that helps our singles stand firm
against the temptations of the world, and build relationships, love, and
marriages that honour God.
